Workwear is specialized apparel designed for use during occupational activities. Though often overlooked, modern workwear has become increasingly technologically advanced. For instance, garments tailored for petrochemical facilities typically offer resistance to acids and alkalis, high‑temperature protection, thermal radiation shielding, and flame retardancy while remaining breathable—effectively serving as a “protective talisman” in industrial settings. Today, most chemical companies routinely issue work uniforms to their staff. However, survey results raise concerns: 32% of workers adopt a laissez‑faire attitude toward complying with dress codes, believing their tasks pose little risk and that any attire will do; another 13% lack a clear understanding of the protective functions of workwear, deeming it unnecessary.
