When wearing personal protective equipment, there are often requirements for “one fit,” “two secure,” and “three tight.” What do these requirements mean?
“Wearing” refers to properly donning a safety helmet. In industries such as construction sites and warehouses, safety helmets are essential personal protective equipment. To wear a helmet correctly, adjust the strap tension so that the helmet remains securely in place without moving freely on your head and without causing any discomfort.
“Tightening” refers to securely fastening the laces of safety shoes and the strap of a hard hat. The purpose of doing so is twofold: first, to enhance freedom of movement during work; second, to prevent these items from coming loose while working.
“Three tightnesses” refers to a work uniform that is tightly fitted at the collar, cuffs, and hem, preventing loose cuffs or open fronts from being caught and drawn into machinery, thus avoiding safety accidents.
Fengling Garment Co., Ltd. kindly reminds: Before putting on personal protective equipment, be sure to carefully read the product’s instruction manual and inspect its performance, fit, expiration date, intended use, and other relevant factors. If you detect any damage or notice that the equipment has expired, discontinue use immediately and replace it with new PPE that meets the required standards.
